JFA Cup U-14 Women’s National Football to begin Sunday

The JFA Cup U-14 Women’s National Football Championship will begin on Sunday (August 20) at six separate venues across the country with the participation of 36 teams, said a Walton press release.
Bangladesh Football Federation member and women’s football league committee’s chairman Mahfuza Akter Kiron said thirty six teams will take part in this year’s championship in six venues.
The venues are Rajshahi, Gaibandha, Jessore, Rajbari, Sherpur and Luxmipur.
After the three-day zonal phase matches, the final round of the competition will move to Dhaka.
Kiron said Walton Group, which sponsored the champions in the previous two occasions, will again come forward to sponsor this year’s competition.
Walton Group operative director head of Games and Sports FM Iqbal Bin Anwar said they want to strengthen the women’s football team by standing beside the team them and hoped good players would come out through this tournament.
