Bangladesh Jewellery
Expo-2022, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, begins in the capital on Thursday to showcase
locally-made ornaments and excellence of local goldsmiths.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) organizes the three-day exposition of precious yellow metal marking the birth day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The organisers informed that the expo is being organised for first of its count to contribute to the economic development of the country in directive of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir. East West Media Group (EWMGL) Director and noted writer Imdadul Haq Milan inaugurated the jewellery expo as chief guest at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. BAJUS former President Dr Dilip Kumar Roy presided over the opening session.
Chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Exhibition, Trade and Event Management Uttam Banik said the expo will also arrange a fashion show to attract visitors.
The organiser announced mega prize of Tk 1 million as first prize for the lucky visitor of the expo while plenty of gifts will define in raffle draw.
