Staff Reporter :The post-deprived leaders of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the BNP, are going to resume their protest programme against the newly formed central committee of the organisation, and in demand of withdrawal of expulsion of some dissidents. The dissident leaders and their followers will gather in front of the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office in the city today (Monday) in the morning to register their protest. Confirming the news, Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokon, former JCD organisasing secretary who was expelled recently from the BNP for his role, said that they would continue their movement until their demand is met.  The rebel JCD men were scheduled to gather in front of the Nayapaltan office yesterday for staging demonstration. They did not gather there but at least five crude bombs were exploded near the Nayapaltan office at noon during the scheduled time of the rebels’ demonstration. However, no one was injured in the explosion. None was also arrested from the spot. It was not clear that who were behind the blasts. On October 19, the JCD rebels postponed their demonstration and sit-in programmes in front their Nayapaltan central office following a meeting with BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on October 14 approved the 201-member partial committee of the JCD with Rajib Ahsan as president and Akramul Hasan general secretary.A group of dissident JCD leaders and activists have been opposing the committee as they think it is an ‘incompetent and pocket committee’ influenced by some BNP leaders.
