Police arrested Mohammed Abu Sayeed Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, 86, Jashore-2 (Chaugacha-Jhikargachha) constituency the candidate of the BNP.
A team of Jhikargachha Police arrested him from his house in Jhikargacha town around 11-30 pm on Friday.
Local sources said, Jamaat candidate Abu Sayeed Mohammad Shahadat Hossain alias Muhaddis Abu Saeed has several sabotage cases.
He did not surrender before the lower court after taking bail from the High Court on October 30 this year in a sabotage case. The case no-19, has been canceled due to time limit of the bail is over.
