Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima made a farewell call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban yesterday.
During the call on, the outgoing ambassador recalled the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Japan visit and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s Dhaka visit last year and said these visits were the high exposure of warm bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Japan, President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.
Abdul Hamid termed Japan as one of the major development partners of Bangladesh and thanked Japan for its assistance for the metrorail project of Bangladesh.
The President also emphasized on strengthening further the existing bilateral trade relations and boosting investment for the benefits of the two countries.
Sadoshima told the President that his country is interested to give Bangladesh assistance for its infrastructural development.
