Jatiyo Nirbachon Porjobekkhon Parishad (Janipop), a leading election monitoring organization of Bangladesh has celebrated its 26th Anniversary in a befitting manner at its central office in the city. A virtual meeting was organized in this regard with the Janipop founder and Chairman Prof Dr. Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah, BNCCO in the chair on Friday.
Dr. Kalimullah in his presidential speech congratulated all who had contributed a lot to the organization in its journey since 1995. Janipop founder Executive Direction Adv. Etrat Amin Kalimullah also spoke on the occasion.
Among others, Divisional Co-coordinator of Janipop Dr. Saber Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary General Jalal Uddin Bhuiyan, Treasurer Ashraf Uddin Ahmed, National Volunteers Habibur Rahman, Ehteramul Hauque, Sajia Rahman Mou and Sumaiya Tahsin Hamida took part in the discussion.
Janipop to celebrate its 26th Anniversary has adopted a 7-day program including discussion on virtual platform due to the ongoing corona situation worldwide.
However, Janipop by this time since its inception has participated in various national and international elections as observer including local government to parliamentary elections in Bangladesh, UK, USA, Pakistan, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Timor- Leste, Hong Kong, Zambia, Nigeria, Egypt and Nepal. Besides, the Janipop representatives took part in various national and international conferences in Jamaica, Lebanon and India.
