The Namaz-e-Janaza of former State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives Ziaul Haq Zia was held at South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the city on Sunday.
After the Janaza, wreaths were placed on the coffin on behalf of the President, Deputy Speaker, Chief Whip and leader of the opposition in Parliament.
BNP leaders as well as officials and employees of the Jatiya Sangsad attended the janaza, said a press release.
A munajat was offered on the occasion, seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.
The former State Minister died at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok on Friday at the age of 65.
