Annual budget of 2014-2015 fiscal year of Jaldhaka municipality was declared in an open ceremony at municipal market auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
Mayor of Jaldhaka municipality Elias Hossain Bablu read out the budget at 3.30 p.m in presence of a large number of different section of people.
The budget is a surplus budget.
According to the announced budget, the total estimated yearly income is taka 44 crore, 34 lakh, 4 thousand and 5 hundred taka.
Total estimated expenditure in the fiscal year is taka 44 crore, 21 lakh, 41 thousand.
Total surplus of the budget remaining as taka 12 lakh, 63 thousand and 500.
Japanese doner agency JAICA and ADP are also playing major role in contributing the budget.
Local lawmaker from Nilphamari-3 constituency of Awami League Golam Mostofa was present in the meeting as chief guest
Among others, spoke on the occasion as special guest are Jaldhaka upazila parishad chairman Alhaj Sayed Ali, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hasan Habib, Upazila Awami League Secretary Shahid Hossain Rubel, upazila Vice Chairman Abdul Wahed Bahadur and female vice chairman Riva Akhtar were present there as special guiest.
Mayor Elius Hossain Bablu presided over the ceremony. The speakers in their speech lauded the effort of municipality mayor and said that through this practice, transparency of the municipality was ensured which also set an example for future leadership.
