Agriculture Scientist Dr Mohammad Jalal Uddin was made new Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), one of the state-run noted organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture, said a press release on Friday.
Jalal replaced Dr Abul Kalam Azad as the new Executive Chairman of BARC, also the apex body of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS). He joined there on January 10 last.
He started his career as Scientific Officer in the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur in 1983.
Agriculturist Jalal came of a renowned Muslim family at Chuadanga sadar upazila of the district in 1958.
