“The government is taking various actions with utmost priority to ensure secured internet for all and the cyber space,” he told a seminar titled ‘Cyber Security and Trusted Technology’ at the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) auditorium.
Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment and Governance (LICT) Project and Microsoft Bangladesh jointly organised the event.

The minister said the draft Digital Security Act approved by the cabinet has already proposed to establish National Security Agency (NSA) and Forensic Lab to check cybercrime.
“The implementation of Digital Bangladesh will face a setback if we fail to ensure digital security. It is still a matter of learning and we have to learn about how the developed countries are ensuring their digital security”, Jabbar said.
Putting emphasis on creating awareness among internet users, the minister said the users should be aware of securing themselves.
