The 10th death anniversary of Ivy Rahman, former women affairs secretary of Awami League and a victim of the August 21 grenade blasts, was observed on Sunday.
Leaders and activists of Awami League placed wreaths at her grave in Banani in the morning.
A milad and doa mahfil
was held at her residence ‘Ivy Concord Tower’ at Gulshan-2 after Asr prayers. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the milad.
On August 24 in 2004, Ivy Rahman, also wife of late President of Zillur Rahman, succumbed to her injuries she received in the grisly grenade attack on an anti-terrorism rally organised by Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.
