Islamic University Journalists Association (IUJA) on Wednesday condemned the attack launched allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League leaders and activists on the teachers and journalists of Jahangirnagar University (JU).
A press release, IUJA demanded immediate punishment of the attackers who beat up the journalists and teachers indiscriminately at JU campus on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, a group of BCL activists of the
university unit reportedly carried out an attacked on the agitators who were demonstrating in front of the residence of vice-chancellor Farzana Islam on the campus demanding her removal on corruption charges.
The clash left three university-based reporters, and eight teachers injured on the spot.
