UNB, Kushtia :
A student of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at a mess on the PTI Road in the district town on Monday.
The student was identified as Atikur Rahman Atik, 25, a masters’ student of Public Administration Department of the university and son of Delwar Hossain in Bhurungamari of Kurigram district.
Officer-in-charge of Kushtia Model Police Station Shahabuddin Chowdhury said the cook of the mess found Atik hanging from the ceiling fan in his room around 4pm.
On information, police rushed in and recovered a suicide note from the room, added the OC.
