IU inks collaboration deal with Nagasaki University

A collaboration agreement was signed between Islamic University (IU), Kushtia and Nagasaki University, Japan recently. This is the first ever collaboration agreement of Islamic University with any foreign university.
Campus sources said, the collaboration initiative has been established by the Department of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology of Islamic University and the Oral Molecular Biology Department of Nagasaki University.
The initiative has been undertaken several months ago by Prof Dr SM Abdur Rouf of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology and Prof Dr Takayuki K Nemoto of Department of Oral Molecular Biology, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences of Nagasaki University.
IU Vice chancellor Prof Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker signed the agreement on behalf of Islamic University.
The collaboration will cover- Exchange of faculty members, researchers and administrative staff, exchange of students, implementation of collaborative research projects, Implementation of lectures and symposia, exchange of academic information and materials as well as promotion of other academic cooperation on which both parties will agree.
The agreement will continue for next 5 years and will also open the doors of cooperation between other allied departments of Islamic University with Nagasaki University.
