Islamic University (IU) became champions in the Inter-University Football Tournament when they beat National University by a solitary goal in the final at the Islamic University Ground on Saturday.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Boren Shikdar, MP was present as chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners at the central auditorium while Vice chancellor of Islamic University Prof Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker , Jhenaidah-1 MP Abdul Hai and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shahinoor Rahman spoke as special guests in the prize-giving ceremony.
The competition was launched on May 24. A total number of 11 universities participated in the competition.
