The submission of the investigation report of blogger Niladri Chattopadhyaya Niloy murder case was deferred to April 11.
As the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case could not submit the probe report on the scheduled date on Sunday, Magistrate Ashek Imam of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court fixed the new date on April 11.
Earlier, Investigation Officer of the case, Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman, who is also a DB Police
Inspector was allowed time on several occasions to submit the report, but he could not do the needful.
On August 7, 2015, blogger Niloy was hacked to death by a group of assailants at his rented flat on the 4th floor of a multi-storey building at Goran in the city.
On the same day, at about 11 pm, the victim’s wife Ashamoni filed the murder case with Khilgaon Police Station accusing four unidentified persons.
