ITF Junior Tennis Championship begins tomorrow

The final round of the 30th Bangladesh ITF Junior Tennis Championship begins on Monday (November 7) at national tennis court complex in the city’s Ramna.
Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal MP is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest at 4 pm.
A total of 96 players – 59 of boys’ and 37 of girls’ – from 12 countries will take part in the week-long meet, organized by Bangladesh Tennis Federation (BTF).
The participating countries are China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, America, Vietnam and host Bangladesh.
The two-day qualification round of the championship already began from Saturday before the final round slated on Monday (Nov.7).
The competition will be held in boys’ singles and doubles and girls’ singles and doubles events. The draw of the final event will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at 6 pm.
In this regards, a press conference was held on Saturday at conference room of national tennis court complex. BTF general secretary Meer Khurshid Anwar, tournament director Lutfar Rahman Chantu, ATN Bangla advisor to chairman Meer M Motahar Hasan and BTF executive members were present on the occasion.
