The ITF Asian Under 14 Tennis competition, division- 2 begins today (Sunday) at Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
Apart from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macaw, The Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Turkmenistan, Tazikistan and host Vietnam are participating in the 14-day meet, organized by Vietnam Tennis Association by the approval of International Tennis Federation (ITF).
The Bangladesh boys’ team comprised with three members. They are Rakib Hossain, M Roman Hossain, and Mehedi Hasan Alvi while Zerin Sultana, Mashfia Afrin and Sraboni Biswash represent the girls’ team. Ahmed Ziaur Rahman is the non playing captain of the team.
Host Vietnam will bear the local expense of the Bangladesh tennis team, which is expected to return home on January 20.
