IT Engineers Examination (ITEE) has brought a tremendous opportunity for the local IT professionals to get job in the international market.
So far, 83 Bangladeshi IT professionals passed in last four ITEE examinations that were held between 2013 and 2015. The next ITEE exam will be held on October 25 next.
According to the sources, the newly introduced ITEE has opened door to the international job market for Bangladeshi IT professionals as a Japanese IT company recently recruited ITEE certified local IT graduates from here.
“While the world has shortage of IT engineers, Bangladesh IT experts fulfills the basic programming skill condition as well as being able to speak native English, which is important factors to produce global values,” said Taihei Kobayashi, Chief Executive Officer of Framgia, Vietnam based Japanese IT company that recruited Bangladesh IT professional recently.
“We were able to meet many engineers who passed ITEE exam in Bangladesh but there are still many others that we haven’t had the chance to meet yet. We are going to create more contact points so that we can reach them more easily,” Kobayashi said.
They have opened one of their branches in Bangladesh this month and aim to expand it to 500 employees until the end of 2018. The ITEE, presently recognised by 12 Asian countries, is basically similar to a national standardised examination of Japan for IT professionals where five to six lakh IT students and IT professionals attended every year, says a press release.
Bangladesh IT-engineers Examination Center (BD-ITEC) under Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry introduced the examination in the country last year under a project titled Capacity Building on ITEE Management with the help of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The objective of introducing ITEE in the country is to give international branding to Bangladesh IT professionals to get international jobs around the globe.
