The birthday of Father of the Nation and National Children’s Day have been celebrated at Ishwardi Press Club with humble respect and love. A press conference was organized at the Press Club Auditorium with the help of helpless, uprooted and street children on Thursday.
The chief guest was Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas, Member of Parliament for Pabna-4 constituency. Prof Swapan Kumar Kundu, President of the Press Club presided over the function. General Secretary Lecturer Abdul Baten conducted the programme.
Special guests were Upazila Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj Naib Ali Biswas, Municipal Mayor Isaac Ali Malitha, Former Mayor and Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, Vice Chairman Abdus Salam Khan and Atia Ferdous Kakli.
Vice President of Upazila Awami League Bir Muktijoddha Mohammad Rashidullah, Bir Muktijoddha Golam Mostafa Channa Mandal, District Council members Saiful Islam Babu Mandal, Shafiul Alam Biswas, Awami League Organizing Secretary Zahurul Haque Malitha, Krishak League leader Murad Malitha, Treasurer Ratan Mahaldar and journalists.
He was present as a guest at that time.
Under the leadership of Asaduzzaman Rakib, helpless, uprooted and street children of Pather Pathshala participated in the programme. At the end of the programme the children were given dinner and a T-Shirt.
