The election of the executive committee of Narsingdi Press Club was held at club hall room on Wednesday.
M A Awal, District Correspondent The New Nation and Editor of The Weekly Narsingdir Kagaj elected president while Sofiqul Mohammad Manik Editor of the local daily Alochona elected general secretary of the committee respectively for the next two years.
Other executives are -Vice president-Mosharaf Hossain Mojnu Editor of Narsindir Katha, Vice president- Moshiur Rahaman Salim district correspondent The Bangladesh Today,
Assistant general secretary-Tofazzal Hossain,,Treasurer-Faruke Miah,Literary,cultural and sports Abdullah-Al Sibleh, Office secretary-Shofiqul Islam,and three members are- Mobarak Hossain,Badal Kumar Shaha and Amjad Hossain A total of 47 members of the press club cast their votes in the election Former Principal of Narsingdi Government College Golam Mostafa Miah, Principal of Abdul kader Mollah City College Dr Moshiur Rahman Mirdha and Magistrate Mahadi hossain conducted the election as chief election commissioner and election commissioners respectively.
