Ishwardi municipality has announced a proposed budget of Tk 85.50 cr. The budget was unveiled at the Municipal Auditorium on Sunday. The total income in the budget is 85 crore 59 lakh 45 thousand 497 taka and the total expenditure is Tk 84. crore 39 lakh 36 thousand . Tk 1 crore 16 lakh 8 thousand 497 surplus has been kept.
Municipal Mayor Ishaq Ali Malitha presided over the budget discussion. The budget was presented by Taibur Rahman, Accounting Officer of the Municipality. Municipal Executive Officer Zahurul Islam conducted.
Prominent academics Prof Uday Nath Lahiri, Bir Muktijoddha Fazlur Rahman Fantu, Press Club President Prof Swapan Kumar Kundu, former President Mostaq Ahmed Kiran, former President SM Raja, Panel Mayor Abul Hashem and others took part in the budget discussion.
Budget journalists, all councilors, municipal officials and employees and eminent persons of different classes and professions were present.
