Irregularities in the distribution of VGD rice by the Austomonisha Union Council in Vangura Upazila under Pabna district have been alleged .
Although the VGD card holders have allocated 30 kg of rice including a bag. But complaints received that Chairman has supplied 3/4 kg less of rice per bag. Local people said that 30 kg rice distribution programmes were started recently.
Card holders Rebeka Khatun, Khushi Khatun and Shahid Ali said they were being given 3/4 kg less rice from the Union in the presence of Chairman Alhaj Ainul Haquq. The card holders were notified to the concerned officer Ayub Ali. As a result, the fficer stopped the rice distribution. UP chairman Alhaj Aninul Haque said, I did not ask anyone to give weight down.
