Irregularities in distribution of primary stipend money has been alleged against bank officers and Headmaster of Gafargaon Govt. Primary School in Mymensingh.
After the complaints, UNO Shiddharta Shonkor Kundu has stopped distributing stipend money among the students at Char Shankhchura Govt, Primary School recently.
It is learnt that Sonali Bank, Gafargaon Upazila Branch has distributed stipend money among 237 Govt. primary schools in 2015-2016 fiscal year from July 13 .
Accordingly, stipend money has been distributed among 625 students at Char Shankhchura Govt Primary School at Panchbag Union under this upazila .
Every student gets Tk 100 as stipend money each year. As a result, one student will get Tk 1200 for the last one year.
Guardians alleged that Shamsul Alam, Headmaster of Char Shankhchura Govt Primary School is taking TK 600 from each student during money distribution.
At that time the excited guardians gheroed the headmaster.
Later, UNO Shiddharta Shonkor Kundu and Upazila Primary Education Officer Md. Anuwarul Islam went to the spot and stopped distributing stipend money.
Getting afraid, headmaster Shamsul Alam has fled away from the school.
