Irfan Sukkur blasted 83-ball off 92 as Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited (MSC) registered their second win in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) crushing Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 159 runs in the 4th round match on Monday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Put to bat first by Agrani Bank, Mohammedan amassed a massive total of 335 for 7 from their stipulated 50 overs. Sukkur hit eight boundaries and two over boundaries and during the process he shared 76-run sixth wicket stand with Raqibul Hasan who contributed 77-run off 85-ball studded with eight boundaries.
Later, cameo Bipul Sharma’s 29-ball off 41 helped Mohammedan to set a challenging target for Agrani Bank.
Soumya Sarkar, Al-Amin Hossain and Abdur Razzak all shared two wickets each for Agrani Bank.
In reply, Agrani Bank was cheaply dismissed at 176 in 37.4 overs with Dhiman Ghosh top scoring 40 runs.
Agrani Bank’s six batsmen lost their wickets in between 17 to 23 runs.
Bipul Sharma, Subashish Roy, Enamul Haque Jr. and Qazi Onik all shared two wickets each for Mohammedan. Irfan Sukkur of Mohammedan was named the player of the match.
