Ambassador of Republic of Iraq Mr. Shakib Kashem Mahadi al Kaffaq paid a courtesy call on President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry Mahbubul Alam on Saturday evening at latter’s office .
CCCI president welcomed the Iraqi diplomat for visiting the CCCI office . Chamber president the visiting diplomat about the significance of Chittagong as its important geographical location in the south east Asia on point of regional connectivity and promotion of internation trade thrugh Chittagong port. He also calls upon the diplomat to recruit the labourers skilled or unskilled for their construction work in Iraq. CCCI president requested the Iraqi diplomat to import commodities from Bangladesh specifically readymade garments, medicines, jute and jute products, hides and skin, and frozen shrimps. They also discussed the bilateral issues of Bangladesh and Iraq on mutual interests aimed at promoting the trade relations in future.
