IPDC of Bangladesh Limited organized Pahela Baishakh celebration with the underprivileged children of the society on the occasion of Bangla New Year 1423.
The daylong event was held on Thursday at the Ladies Club, Uttara. The children enjoyed the Bangla New Year by participating in different cultural activities.
The venue was decorated under the Baishakh theme and traditional foods were served to the children. There was a range of activities for children where they were kept busy with face painting, clowns, magic show, puppet show and musical show. Children were received with traditional gifts. It, however, was an open floor for the children to perform as well.
Jahanara Alam, captain of Bangladesh national women’s cricket team was present at the event and shared some joyful moments and gave an inspirational speech. There was a cultural program arranged where the famous singer and actor ‘Agun’ performed.
One of the officials from IPDC said regarding this event, “IPDC, beside its commercial operation, is involved in various social activities which cover the sectors of education, health and sanitation, environment and promoting cultural and recreational facilities for the underprivileged.
Mominul Islam, Managing Director and CEO and other Senior Officials of IPDC were present at the occasion and everyone had a warm interaction with the children.
