President of International Olympic Committee (IOC) Dr Thomas Bach has assured Bangladesh of providing assistance for the development of its sports.
The assurance came when secretary general of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Syed Shaheed Reza made a courtesy call on the IOC boss in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday.
Later, Syed Shaheed Reza presented a BOA crest to the IOC President.
The BOA Secretary General went to Bangkok to attend the General Assembly of Association of National Olympic Committee (ANOC) held on Friday.
He also talked to president of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Sheikh Ahmed Al Fahad Al Sabah about the development of country’s sports.
