National seminar held at Rangamati: Investors urged to explore resources in CHT

Speakers at a national seminar at Rangamati on Tuesday called upon the investors to explore the resources of Chattrogram Hill Tracts for a sustainable development in the country.
They also underscored the need of exploring the natural resources in Rangamati for the development of the country.
The seminar on Promotion of Sustainable Livelihoods in CHT was organized by Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board (CHTDB). The seminar was held at the Karnaphuli Conference Hall of CHTDB head office at Rangamati.
The seminar presided over by Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura on the occasion of International Mountain Day was addressed among others by Prof Dr Pradanendu Bikash Chakma, Dr Golam Rasul, Prof Abul Barkat of Dhaka University, Tarun Kanti Ghosh, Kyaw Shwe Hla, Kongjari Chowdhury, Brisaketu Chakma while Kazi M Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) was the chief guest of the seminar.
Dr Golam Rasul, the key-note speaker of the seminar on Promotion of Sustainable Livelihoods in CHT said that there is huge natural resources in Chattogram Hill Tracts and the government should explore these resources for the sustainable development of the country.
Kazi M Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman of BIDA stressed the need for abstracting the natural resources of Chattrogram Hill Tracts for fair development.
He called upon the government for taking sustainable projects to explore the natural resources in Chattrogram Hill Tracts.
Naba Bikram Kishore Tripura pleaded for setting up of an airport in Chattrogram Hill Tracts for developing modern transportation and communication over there.
