Ministry Civil Aviation and Tourism will arrange International Tourism fair from 2018 reflecting progress and beauty of Bangladesh and develop it as an attractive destination, announced Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism Rashid Khan Menon on Sunday.
“Tourism is not an issue of travelling the country only, but source of revenue. Tourism has expanded to religious, halal, cultural health tourism has claimed it in a growing industry globally. About 1.2 billion tourists have visited different countries of the world in 2016. To attract global tourists to Bangladesh, this international fair will contribute a lot.”
It was viewed in a lunching ceremony of a newsletter titled, ‘The Travellog’published by Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC). BPC Chairman Aktaruzzaman Khan presided the program, while Hill Assistant Director KM Abdus Salam, Director of BPC Shahidul Islam, Professor of Tourism Department, Dhaka University Dr Rashidul Hasan, Editor of Monitor Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of Travel World Md Sahabuddin, President of PATA Bangladesh Chapter Shahid Hamid, CEO Journey Plus Toufiq Rahman and Managing Director of Bengal Tours Masud Hossain, among others, spoke on the occasion.
