Int’l seminar on folklore held at IU

An international seminar titled ‘Contemporary Trends in Folklore’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Sunday morning.
Folklore Studies Department of the university organised the seminar at Birshreshtha Hamidur Rahman auditorium around 9.30am.
IU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the occasion as chief guest while Professor Emeritus of Rabindra Bharati University, India Barun Kumar Chakrabarty was the chief discussant.
Pro VC Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Professor Dr M Selim Toha, dean of Humanities and Social Sciences faculty Professor Dr M Habibur Rahman, professor of Bangla Department Dr Abul Ahsan Chaudhury were present in the seminar as special guests.
