A 2 day long “ACE-1st International Education and Cultural Carnival Bangladesh 2017” based on global tourism and hospitality management ended on Friday at Daffodil International University (DIU). Based on the theme on “Let the stage of the Tourism Day and the Tourism year reflects the victory song of Tourism and Hospitality”, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU and Federation of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management jointly (FOHTEM) jointly organized the carnival. The Aks Khan Center of Excellence (ACE) sponsored the carnival to promote Tourism and Hospitality Management in Bangladesh and make it practiced in mass level and the best way to do it in schools, colleges and universities.
Prof Dr Yousuf Mahabubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present at the closing and award distribution ceremony of the carnival as the chief guest.
Prof Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Zahangir Alam, Head of Hospitality, The Aks Khan Center of Excellence (ACE), Daniel Chandan Gomes, Corporate Executive Chef, The Aks Khan Center of Excellence (ACE), Al Mamun Rasel, President, South Asian Youth Federation were present as the guest of Honor.
Presided over by Prof Md. Mahabubur Rahman, Chairman, FOHTEM, the function was also addressed by Mahabub Parvez, Head Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU and MA Nahiyan, Chief Organizer.
The two day long carnival was included; workshop and career planning seminar on tourism and hospitality management, live cooking show and cooking contest and talk show, project display, management machete and business solution, multimedia presentations, cultural events, live cooking show and cooking contest and talk show. 500 students of 20 universities, colleges, schools and institutions attend the 2 daylong carnival.
