International athletics season will finally start in August in Turku, Finland.
According to World Athletics, the Turku stop of its inaugural Continental Tour Gold meetings will be held on August 11, after the Covid-19 pandemic forced postponement and cancellation of global sports events in the first half of the year.
The one-day competition will then move to Hungary, Japan, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Kenya before coming to the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing.
The world athletics governing body also updated its calender, confirming Athens Authentic Marathon on November 7-8.
