Adi Adnan is an emerging immigrant American musician. This promising singer has already been able to attract the attention of music-lovers with his multi-faceted musical talent. Recently he talked with The New Nation. Here is the interview:

NN: Tell us about yourself and your childhood.
Adnan: Though everyone knows me by my stage name, Adi Adnan, my family name is Adnan Liaquat. I was born in Sylhet of Bangladesh but I grew up in Dhaka. I have been staying in America for over two decades. My family moved there just after finishing my middle school in Dhaka and since then I completed my studies here, graduating from Berkley College in business and IT management.
NN: How did you get into music?
Adnan: I have been passionate about music since as long as I can remember. Instead of confining myself to one style of music, I have been experimenting with various styles from the get go. Despite my busy schedule, I make it a priority to make time for music. It is my belief that music is all about the connection between the artist and the audience, so my work is available across all social channels for everyone to enjoy and I make an effort to connect with my followers all across the globe.
NN: What goes on behind-the-scenes in the making of a song, from start to finish?
Adnan: Making music is a very collaborative process. I write my own songs, and often tune them myself. I also collaborate with record labels, producers, sound mixers and editors to brainstorm ideas for a body of work that my audience will enjoy. We are always trying to realise a new genre of music by going against the flow. Once we make something which we would be proud to put out to the world, the creative process is brought to fruition by recording the song. My audience also appreciates my music videos that accompany the songs, so I make it a priority to always bring about a touch of novelty in the music videos.
NN: Share some of your success stories that you have found from music?
Adnan: I was lucky to have a very supportive audience who thoroughly enjoy my work and inspire me to keep on going. My work has collectively generated over 150,000 views across all social channels with hundreds of positive and encouraging comments.
NN: You are also involved in travel blogging, tell us something about that.
Adnan: I got the travel bug during my early days in Sylhet, which is one of the premier tourist destinations in Bangladesh. From the Amish village of Lancaster to Ithaca Falls in New York, I love exploring different tourist spots in America and my audience likes to experience them through my lens and commentary. Often times, they want me to visit and cover certain places and I try my best to uphold their wishes. I believe this to be a fun and engaging way to connect with my audience.
