The New Nation: For the survival which is your preference – literature or wild life?
Alam Shine: Wild life saves the nature, nature saves the human being and human being saves the literature – nothing to say more.
The New Nation: What topic you prefer for writing – literature or wild life?
Alam Shine: In fact, I have interest to write on both these topics. Since 1997 after publishing my stories in different newspapers I got inspiration for writing. Under Nasir Ahmed’s editing more than 50 writings were published in Tarun Sonkhya in daily Janakantho. When he left the newspaper I started writing on wildlife. Till now I have been writing on wild life issues. I also wrote for post-editorial in different newspapers comfortably.
The New Nation: Who is your favourite writer and which is your favourite book?
Alam Shine: Bibhutibhushan Bondyopaddhyay is my favourite writer. My favourite books are his written Pother Panchali and Aronnyok. Therefore, there is a writer from Ukraine named N Karazin. His written book titled Cranes Flying South also inspires me.
The New Nation: Please tell about your written novel Ghuney Khawa Banshi.
Alam Shine: Basically it is an adolescent thriller based on rural atmosphere. It is a tale of the life story of a rural boy. It will be a happy reading novel for all.
The New Nation: What number of novels, stories and articles you have written till now?
Alam Shine: Novels are 13. Number of short stories, articles-features crossed more than thousand. Of those, features on only birds are about 500. All these published in national dailies.
The New Nation: You are fond of nature lover. Please tell about the nature.
Alam Shine: Nature always calls me. So, when get time I go to the nature – forest, hills and sea. Sometimes I also pass time during Eid holidays there.
