International Martial Art Competition begins tomorrow

Sports Reporter :The 4th Begum Fazilatunnisa Mujib International Martial Art Competition begins tomorrow. The events of the Competition will be held at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council, Muhammad Ali Boxing Stadium and Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur. Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation will arrange the competition under auspices of Moryum Foundation.A total of 20 countries including hosts Bangladesh will take part in the meet. The events of the competition are: Karate, Judo, Self Defence, Jujutsu, Taekwondo, Kung Fu, Ushu, Kick Boxing, Breaking Coconut, Wood, Eit, Ice etc. State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will formally open the competition at the Gymnasium of National Sports Council tomorrow at 10.00 am as the chief guest.Minister for Shipping Shahjahan Khan will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest on the concluding day (June 9). Minister for Information Hasanul Haq Inu will preside over the prize-giving ceremony.Marking the ensuing competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of National Sports Council Tower on Friday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Martial Art Confederation (BMAC) Hasan-uz-Zaman Moni, Joint-Secretary of BMAC Mostafizur Rahman, International Karate Referees Humayun Kabir Jewel and Md Humayun Kabir and Co-Ordinator of the Tournament Committee Wadudun Nabi were present at the conference.
