The intern doctors of Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital are on strike without any p prior announcement.
The intern doctors have not joined any ward since Wednesday (April 28) morning.
A hospital source said that the two groups of the BCL were on strike in protest of the recurring chases on Tuesday.
However, the director of the Medical College Hospital in Chittagong said he was not aware of the strike. “I have no information about the interns’ strike,” he said. I have not been informed about this from any ward.
However, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Alauddin Talukder said it was seen in some wards that the intern doctors did not join the work.
A meeting between the intern doctor and the hospital administration is scheduled for noon.
