The Inter-University Swimming & Water Polo Competition began at the swimming pool of Dhaka University on Wednesday.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the two-day long competition as the chief guest.
President of Dhaka University Swimming & Water Polo Committee Professor Dr Md Nizamul Haque Bhuiyan presided over the opening ceremony.
A total of seven public universities are taking part in the meet. They are: Dhaka University, Jahangirnagar University, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, National University, Islami University and Jessore Science & Technology University.
The competition will be concluded today. After the meet, Pro-Vice-Chancellor( Administration) Professor Dr Shahid Akhter Hussain will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
