An inter-ministerial meeting for successfully hosting the Tri-Nation series was held today at the conference room of Youth and Sports Ministry with Youth and Sports Secretary Asadul Islam in the chair, a press release said.
The Tri Nation series involving host Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe and Test series and T20I between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be held from January 15 to February 19.
The Tri-Nation series will be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNS) at Mirpur while the two-match Test series will be held at SBNS at Mirpur and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong respectively.
The lone T20I will take place at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
The meeting laid emphasizes on ensuring the entire safety of the foreign players, officials and invited guests during their stay in Bangladesh.
The meeting also disclosed that necessary steps have been taken for successfully hosting the tournament.
Officials of the ministries and associations concerned and high officials of Bangladesh Cricket Board were present in the meeting.
