An inter-ministerial meeting was held on Monday at the conference room of Youth and Sports Ministry for successfully hosting cricket home series against Pakistan, India, South Africa and Australia this year.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Sri Biren Sikder, MP, presided over the meeting. Deputy Minister Arif Khan Joy was also present on the occasion.
Pakistan to tour Bangladesh from April 7 to May 6, India to visit June 5-29, South Africa to tour June 30 to August 4 and Australia tour to September 28 to October 21.
The matches will be held in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan, Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
In the meeting, the State Minister sought cooperation to the representatives of concern ministries, associations and divisions to make the events a success. The concern representatives assured the State Minister to do their duty properly.
The meeting also formed a security committee making its convener of the Home Ministry to ensure security of the invited local and foreign guests, players and officials during the time of their stay in Bangladesh.
Youth and Sports secretary Noor Mohammad, Bangladesh Cricket Board officials and concern officials of the ministries and associations were present on the occasion.
