BKSP declared their first innings at 209 for 8 in 66 overs against Barisal Division on the first day of a two-day match of the Young Tigers U-16 National Cricket Tournament at Cox’s Bazar ground 2 on Friday.
Sent in to bat first, BKSP posted the total with Riazul Islam scoring 51 runs off 113 balls with five boundaries. Ratul Khan and Akbar Ali made 48 and 41 runs respectively.
Sardar Md Yasin claimed three wickets for 26 runs while Maynul Islam Sujon and Salman Hasan Rana took two wickets each for 26 and 32 runs respectively.
In reply, Barisal Division in their first innings scored 50 for 5 in 23 overs at stumps on the first day.
Skipper Saiful Alom Mehedi and KM Shafiqul Islam were batting on 16 and 5 runs respectively.
Afif Hossain took two wickets for 18 runs.

In another match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet Division trailed by 6 runs against Dhaka Division South in the first innings on the first day.
Sent to bat first, Dhaka Division South were dismissed cheaply for 88 runs in 50.2 overs.
In reply, Sylhet Division in their first innings scored 82 runs for 8 in 38.5 overs at stumps on the day. Nawshad Akber made 17, Hridoy Ahamed 17 runs while Ishak Ali batting on 0.
