Inter-hall athletics competition of Dhaka University (DU) began on Sunday at the Central Play Ground of DU.
Vice Chancellor of DU Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the two-day competition as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the athletes to develop discipline and physical and mental fitness through sports. Professor Dr Md Nijamul Hoque Buiyan, president of the university athletics committee presided over the function.
Students of 19 dormitories of the university are participating in the competition.
