The Popular Life Insurance 15th Inter-District Volleyball Competition starts today (Saturday) at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation has arranged the five-day long volleyball meet while Popular Life Insurance Limited is the sponsor of the competition.
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police AKM Shahidul Haque, BPM, PPM will formally open the volleyball competition today as the chief guest while Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Limited BM Yousuf Ali will be with him as the special guest.
Chairperson of the women’s volleyball committee of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Special Police Super (CID) Syeda Zannat Ara will preside over the inaugural ceremony.
A total of 12 district teams will participate in the volleyball competition. They are: Gazipur, Rajshahi, Kushtia, Kishoreganj, Satkhira, Khulna, Jhenaidah, Narail, Chittagong, Pabna, Nilphamari and Bagerhat.
The volleyball competition will be concluded on October 14.
