Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 seized 19.20 kg of ganja from a private car and arrested two alleged drug traders from Komarpur Bazar point in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha on Wednesday.”On a tip-off, an operational team of Gaibandha Crime Prevention Specialised Company of RAB-13 set up a check post there. After searching the car RAB arrested the two persons with the smuggled ganja at 6:15 pm,” a press release said today.
The elite force also seized the car, two mobile phone sets and cash money from their possession during the raid. During primary interrogation, the arrested persons admitted that they have been involved in drug trading for a long time.
After filing a case in this connection, the elite force handed over the arrested drug traders to Gobindaganj police station, the release said, adding that investigation is going on to nab their other cohorts.
