The Popular Life Insurance 15th Inter-District Women’s Volleyball Competition began on Saturday at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium.
In the day’s matches, Chittagong district team overcame Kushtia district team by 3-0 sets while Pabna district team drubbed Kishoreganj district team by 3-0 sets and Khulna district team defeated Bagerhat district team by 3-0 sets.
Earlier, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police AKM Shahidul Haque inaugurated the volleyball meet as the chief guest while Managing Director of Popular Life Insurance Limited BM Yousuf Ali was with him as the special guest.
Vice-President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Tabiur Rahman Pahlowan, Acting General Secretary of BVF Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Azizur Rahman, Treasurer of the Federation Sirajul Islam were present at the time.
Chairperson of women’s volleyball committee of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation and Special Police Super (CID) Syeda Zannat Ara presided over the inaugural ceremony.
