Intelligence software installed in Ctg Customs to detect unfairmeans

 Special intelligence software aimed at to resist the illegal movement of intoxicated drugs, arms and ammos, contraband commodities either import or exports through Chittagong Port is being installed.
This software titled container controller program’ will be able to detect the injurious and misdeclared imported consignment inside the container.
An expert team of UN office for drugs and crimes has apprised training to the officialsof customs authority in this field of software.
Mentionable that about 90 percent import and export commodities are handled through Chittagong Port and the suspected imported containers are being done with physical inventory to detect the commodities inside the container.
Customs sources said following the installation of intelligence software, the imports of false declasred commodities will easily be detected through this software.
UN Drug and Crimes Department supplied this software to Bangladesh Customs, Chittagong Ahmedur Reza Chowdhury confirmed the mater of installing the container control software intelligence aimed at easily detectionof any trafficking of drugs, arms and illegal contraband commodities.
More 71 CCTV cameras installed :
Chittagong metropolitanpolice isgoing to install additional 71 CCTV cameras in the city in 18 points aimed at maintaining the overall security measures in the city .
Earlier in last year, seventy one CC cameras were installed in the city and achieved desired output from installation of that CC cameras, sources said.
 Additional deputy commissioner of CMP Tanveer Arafat confirmed the matter of additional CCTV cameras for the city.
