Speakers at a discussion viewed that building institutional foundation is very important for making innovation process sustainable.
They mentioned that the main objective of innovation circle is to make the civic cervices easy and bridge between the administration and people that will add a new dimension to development of Bangladesh.
The speakers said this yesterday while addressing the Rajshahi Divisional Innovation Circle at the Circuit House conference hall in Rajshahi.
Commissioner office of Rajshahi division and Cabinet Division jointly organized the meeting in association with Access to Information (A2I) Project of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). UNDP and USAID supported the meeting.
Secretary to Youth and Sports Ministry Kazi Akhter Uddin Ahmed and director general of Director of Youth Development Anwarul Karim addressed the programme as chief and special guests respectively with Abdul Hannan, commissioner of Rajshahi division, in the chair.
Earlier, capacity development specialist of the A2I Project Manik Mahmud discussed practicing innovation in the public administration, potentials and doings while four deputy commissioners of Rajshahi, Pabna, Natore and Chapainawabganj presented progress in various innovation actions and action plans.
Join secretary of Cabinet Division (Law) Mustafizur Rahman, additional commissioners Munir Hossain, Aminul Islam and Sultan Abdul Hamid and managing director of Rajshahi WASA Ajahar Ali also spoke.
They viewed the present government has adopted multifarious measures for reaching the e-services to the grassroots people.
All the officials of the field administration should discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty so that the people can derive total benefits of the modern services.
Chief guest Kazi Akhter Uddin Ahmed said the government officers have progressed a lot in the field of information technology and added that the prime minister inaugurates different projects through video conferencing.
“Gross income and growth rates are increasing and all these are done for keeping people’s life easy and happy. As a country we are in a better position,” he added.
The ongoing digitization process has also created scope of employment and income generation in various ways including outsourcing, selling products through e-shop and offering different services at the Union Digital Centres.
