Newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Khaja Miah visited the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara on Thursday.
After offering fateha and prayer, the Information Secretary stood a minute in silence showing respect to the architect of the nation, said a press release.
Khaleda Akhter, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education, also wife of the Information Secretary, was accompanied by officials from Gopalganj District Administration and Information Office.
He inspected the district information office and instructed the officers and employees to perform their duties with dedication.
Khaja Miah, a member of the 10th batch of the BCS administration cadre, took charge as the Information Secretary on November 30.
