Police in a pre-dawn swoop arrested infamous robber Sheikh Farid from Alexander Bazar area in Ramgati upazila of the district on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off, a team of police of Ramgati thana conducted the raid in the Alexander Bazar area and arrested infamous robber Sheikh Farid.
Mohammad Iqbal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Ramgati thana, said 12 robbery and arms cases have been pending against the arrested robber with different police stations.
