Industries Secretary Muhammad Abdullah on Tuesday said Bangladesh will have to increase the use of safe boiler for accelerating industrialization to make the country a developed one by 2041.
“Boiler is the important element for industrial production. Boiler operator can play a vital role to reduce accidents in the industrial production through proper operation of boiler,” he said.
The secretary was speaking as the chief guest at a function to distribute certificates among the first class boiler operators at the Office of the Chief Inspector of Boilers in the city, said a press release.
Muhammad Abdullah said all organisations under the Industries Ministry, including the Office of the Chief Inspector of Boiler, will have to take necessary steps to accelerate and modernise the service delivery process.
Chief Boiler Inspector Engineer Mohammad Abdul Mannan presided the meeting while Associate Professor of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Dr AKM Manjur Morshed spoke on the occasion, among others.
In the function, the industries secretary handed over certificates among the 60 first class boiler operators.
